About Our Two Oroville Clubs
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley has two site locations in Oroville. The first club was established in Butte County Juvenile Hall in 2007 as a result of a partnership with the Butte County Probation Department and Juvenile Hall. The second site is located in the Southside Oroville Community Center and opened on September 15, 2008. This community site is open every day after school and is for junior high and high school students only.
Club Support
The Boys & Girls Club of Oroville could not have opened without the commitment and support of the S.H. Cowell Foundation which is located in San Francisco. The S.H. Cowell Foundation works to improve the lives of children living in poverty in Northern and Central California by providing support to strengthen families and communities and has a long history of investing in far northern California. Other critical support comes from Butte County Probation Department via the Juvenile Crime Prevention Act 2000, the Butte County Private Industry Council.
Community Support
There is no greater investment that one can make than to invest in the positive future of the next generation. The Boys & Girls Club is fortunate to have the support of local businesses, individuals and community groups that have made – and continue to make – significant investments in the youth of our community.
