A new charter school would partner with the Boys & Girls Club to offer extended school days and years to promote learning in students, petitioners said during a Chico Unified School District board of trustees meeting Wednesday night.

Chico Country Day School is petitioning the school board for the new charter school, Partnership to Advance Chico Education Academy, to educate students from kindergarten to eighth grade.
