Friends & Supporters
The Boys & Girls Club appreciates its strong partnerships with local and locally-based businesses. Many of our local business contribute annually to the club either through a cash contribution, a service provided for free or at a significantly discounted rate, through providing their staff to help us on a special project or club clean up or by developing their own fundraising event to benefit the Club. However our community business partners choose to support the club we not only appreciate their direct contribution but we also appreciate the positive message it sends to our members.

Smucker Natural Foods, Inc.

Smucker Natural Foods, Inc., has selected the Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley as their charity for the 2010-2012 year. Through this partnership, teen members of the Chico Teen Center have been participating in a job coaching and mentoring program where they have the opportunity to job shadow and learn from the various departments of Smucker. The teens are developing cover letters and resumes while learning basic skills regarding acquiring and maintaining a job and will also visit the Smucker facilities multiple times over the semester. The overall goal of this program is to provide our teens with the knowledge of what resources are available in our community and to help them understand what it takes to reach their goals of securing successful jobs as they grow.
Smucker Natural Foods has been assistiing the Club with food and clothing drives for its members as well as supporting our fundraisers, events and daily Club programs. Smucker hopes to encourage other businesses in our area to collaborate with our programs to continue to help our young people be contributing members of our society who are happy and healthy. Thank you for Caring!
